“Your attitude will determine your altitude”

What kind of attitude are you having towards life? Are you having a winner’s attitude? Or you have the attitude of someone unsuccessful? From someone that likes to enjoy life or from someone that complains about life all the time?

Our attitude can change in seconds when we connect with an emotion that makes us feel alive. What does make you feel alive? Love? Hope? Happiness? Gratefulness?


If we go through life thinking on things we can’t change, on what others did to us, on what could have been, on what we haven’t done or achieve; does that really make us feel alive? Why are we deciding to die before is our time? It doesn’t matter where are we coming from, it does matter where are we heading to! We are the creators of our own lives. Whichever attitude you wake up with is how the rest of your day is going to be; is not in your kids, in your husband, in the traffic, in your boss. You are the only one who holds your own attitude. We want to find reasons why our attitude is in certain way “I am like this because my parents did this or that..”, “I am like this because my kids have been screaming”, “I am like this because my boss is driving me crazy”, and many more reasons. Those are things that we haven’t chosen to happen but what we can choose is what attitude do we want to wear on those situations.

I heard from an amazing speaker that I follow “Your attitude will determine your altitude”. How far do you want to go in life? I think you will agree with me that most of us want to go all the way, I don’t think you decided to stay on the ground. Many people just want to stay at a medium level, just living it but they are not even happy; they keep complaining and why to live at that level if we can go all the way up and reach a high altitude. It won’t happen with a bad attitude, is not possible. Imagine climbing a mountain and telling yourself “why should I keep going if is still a long way”, “my legs can’t handle it anymore” Do you think you will reach the top? Probably not and if you do, you are suffering all the way there. What about if we choose to say to ourselves “I am closer, I am doing good, I can do this, The sun shines brighter from up there, I am so grateful for my legs that are still walking”.

Friends, what kind of attitude do you want to have towards life? If that helps, every time you think about it visualize the mountain with you climbing it. Train your mind.

I hope this post serves you and you can take something from it. To train my mind took me years and I am still in the process. If at least you could realize after reading this that you can change your attitude and want a positive change, you have taken the biggest step! Congratulations!
